Shylily is an indie VTuber with an orca character, a German-English background, and a Twitch-first catalog of chatting, games, and bits that clip well. She is a useful directory entry for people searching “indie VTuber” rather than a Hololive gen name.
Independent by default
She owns the persona side of the business in the sense that matters to most newcomers: no Hololive-style graduation IP trap, no genmates assigned by a company. That is the path described in agencies vs indie. Growth still comes from schedule, clips, and a readable Live2D silhouette — not from waiting on an application PDF.
How many years has Shylily been a VTuber?
Shylily’s widely cited debut sits around 16 July 2021, so late 2026 is about five years as an indie shark-themed Virtual YouTuber on YouTube/Twitch.
Has Shylily done a face reveal?
No official face reveal. Indie character channel; unofficial IRL posts are not directory facts.
What technology does Shylily use?
On-stream avatar is Live2D. Same weight class means a model you have commercial rights to, plus a normal tracking + OBS stack—not her file.
How many followers does Shylily have?
Approximate public snapshots (not live API counts): ~1.9M YouTube subscribers. Numbers move weekly—use the official link buttons on this page for what is live today. BeTuber rankings are directory snapshots, not a billing dashboard.
How much money does Shylily make?
There is no verified public salary or annual income figure for Shylily. Creator revenue typically mixes subscriptions, bits/Super Chats, donations, merch, and sponsorships (plus agency contracts where applicable)—amounts stay private unless disclosed. Anyone posting an exact “net worth” without a primary source is guessing.
