This page is for residents of California and other U.S. states with similar privacy laws (including, where applicable, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others). It is part of our Privacy Policy.
What “sell” and “share” mean
We do not sell personal information for money.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, “sale” and “share” can include making identifiers (such as cookie IDs and IP addresses) available to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. Google AdSense and similar advertising cookies may fall in that category.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics beyond what is described in the Privacy Policy.
Information involved
Categories that may be disclosed to advertising and measurement partners such as Google:
- identifiers (cookie and device identifiers, IP address)
- internet or electronic network activity (pages viewed, ad impressions and clicks)
- approximate geolocation (from IP)
See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for detail, and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
How to opt out
You can opt out of personalized / cross-context advertising in any of these ways:
- Google Ads Settings — https://www.google.com/settings/ads
- Digital Advertising Alliance — https://www.aboutads.info
- Network Advertising Initiative — https://optout.networkadvertising.org/
- On-site privacy message — where we show a U.S. state regulations message (Google Privacy & messaging), use the opt-out controls there
- Email us — [email protected] with the subject “Do not sell or share.” Tell us the URL you visited and, if you can, your approximate date and browser. We will process the request as required by law.
Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will see no ads. You may still see contextual ads.
Browser “do not track” signals are not consistently defined. If we display a certified U.S. state message, follow that interface for the legally recognized opt-out.
Authorized agents
You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may need to verify your identity.
Non-discrimination
We will not deny goods or services, charge a different price, or provide a different quality because you exercised a privacy right, except as permitted by law.
Other rights
You may also request access, deletion, and correction of personal information we hold, as described in the Privacy Policy. Email [email protected].
